Kornit Digital has come up with a key feature ‘XDi’ of the new MAX digital printing technology, which delivers 3D capabilities for high-density graphic decoration that can simulate embroidery, vinyl and heat transfer in a single, waste-free digital process.

The technology is said to work with different kinds of fabric and aims at expanding the reach of digital on-demand textile production into mainstream fashion and apparel.

The new XDi technology is built in one of the new-age industrial-scale direct-to-garment production systems – Kornit Atlas MAX – which is commercially available and provides the manufacturers with the desired quality and color-matching capabilities – all thanks to its wide color gamut.

While Ronen Samuel, Kornit Digital’s CEO emphasized the fact that there’s a growing realization and acceptance that on-demand production is the answer to meeting the demands of today’s consumer,

Omer Kulka, CMO, Kornit Digital commented, “Kornit’s new MAX capabilities bring sustainable on-demand production to the mainstream. We plan to roll it out to additional market segments such as team sports, athleisure, diverse categories of fashion and home décor applications.
